I actually scrubbed some of the paint off the side where the oven rack slides in. The food spatters bake on and will not come off with the recommended “damp, soapy cloth” or “plastic scouring pad.” I was not able to get all the burned on grease cleaned out after I air fried the chicken. Unfortunately, the remainder of the inside of the oven is very hard to clean. It is easy to see in and flips up for easy cleaning. The one I have is supposed to be Stainless Steel, but it is mostly gray. The Hamilton Beach 6 slice oven is a nice looking unit. It also makes my small apartment smell unpleasantly greasy when used for any length of time. This appliance pumps out a lot of heat, so be very careful where and how you use it. I assumed using this air fryer/toaster oven would be cooler in my small apartment than using my full size oven. Although the oven is on legs, it produces much more heat than expected. The dimensions are 21.3 wide by 15.96 deep and it is almost 12 inches tall. It is big enough to cook a whole chicken. The 6 slice SureCrisp Oven I have is the large unit with the Easy Reach Door. The Hamilton Beach website has some great recipes and information. The instructions could have been more thorough, but I figured it out. I have never had an air fryer or toaster oven before so there was a learning curve. I overcooked the chicken and it was still good. It broils meats to perfection and air fried chicken very well. I have used it as both an air fryer and a toaster oven. Everything I have cooked in it has turned out good, especially seasoned braised potatoes. I thought I would love this Hamilton Beach 6 slice SureCrisp Oven … and I came close. This 6 slice SureCrisp Oven is everything I need.
